What now for Liberman?

Liberman backed McCain during the election. He even showed up and spoke at the Republican convention. But the problem is he is a Democrat. Now that the democrats have control of congress and presidency, what do you think will happen to Liberman? Alot of his fellow democrats in congress are really mad at him. He currently has the chairmanship of several committees including Homeland Secuirty and Government affairs. Will those be taken from him for breaking party lines and backing McCain? Should he "punished" for not backing Obama?

Liberman is not needed any more for the Harry Reid majority. Last year the number were too close to kick Joe at of their ranks, because the number were at 49 Dems, 49 GOP and two independents. Joe was one of those independents that sided with Harry over the GOP, but if Joe had sided with Mitch's leadership the numbers would have turned into 49 Dems with an independent, 49 GOP with an independent. Now with a solid majority Joe just is not needed. Also add to the problem that the GOP is barely holding onto filibuster protection with a handful of RINOs, Joe really is not needed.

Yep I think he will pay a steep price for not staying in his party lines. They put up with him when they needed him. But now they don't so he will be kicked to the curb. Which is sad. We americans are allowed to back, endorse and vote for whoever we want. But it looks like they aren't. So much for being able to think for yourself.

Being able to think for yourself stop once your ideas violate the party line. Joe is now on an island. The Dems do not need him nor want him, and the GOP really cannot use him because Joe votes Democrat 89% of the time.

So Joe is on his own. I hope for his case that he really believed in McCain because he is going to pay for it. Big time. Guess he now learned a valuable lesson, follow party lines no matter what. Even if you think it is wrong. Because if you don't and you lose, you party will make you pay for it.

It would be Joe's best interest to change parties. Otherwise, he is down and out and not needed. He had every right to support McCain. I respect him more than Hillary. There she is busting her buns to support Obama after the way he treated her. We know she is doing it to save her career not because she wants Obama in. She asked him to make her a supreme court judge, and he would not commit to it. Yet, she campaigned for him. She does not look like the strong-willed person she once did.
