I have boy/girl twins. When they were babies I had a couple outfits that matched, only they were pink and blue, but for the most part I never dressed them alike. I've never even really given it any thought. When I buy outfits I do not look for matching in pink and blue, not even when they were babies. The only matching outfits they ever had were given to me by someone else, and they rarely wore them on the same day, unless I was taking pictures.

All I say is, as a twin, I am thankful my parents never did it. Kids need independence. It is find for special occasion or when they are small, but the older they get I feel it hurts their chance to be full indendent and have their own style or unique sense of things. Plus I would find it very insulting to have people calling me by my siblings name when they can tell the difference between us...

My cousin has triplets and they started school this fall and the summer before school started she stopped dressing them alike. SHe will occasinally dress them the same now, like when sh has pictures made and things. But sh says iit has helped them so much since sh has stopped. They are all showing more independnce now.
So I would say as they start to outgrow what they have maybe consider starting to dress them different. I wouldn't spring it on them all at once and if you're not ready to start just yet then maybe give them all different shoes or something to express their own independance.
Good Luck
