You are right, it is not safe to sit at the end of the passenger jeep. It's prone to snatchers. It's indeed a lesson to learn that when we are inside a public vehicle we should be attentive to our personal belongings as you said we have to hold the bag tight and not just put on our lap as if we are sitting in our private car.

No one cared to help my officemate, yes! Of course she could not run after the man because she is a very small and petite lady and could not match that bigger man who snatched her bag! I wished you were there my dear! She went to the police station to have the incident blottered. She had no money left and the police took pity and gave her some money for her fare back home.

Yes, same here, it's actually risky to react by running after the snatcher. I've heard of so many news about lost lives in same incident. I would perhaps just let my valuables go and let God take vengeance.

Like you I am very attentive when I'm inside a public vehicle. It's very hard to be very trusting. We have to hold our bag tightly and observe the people around us.

That was really terrible. I could see from the face of my office how terrified she was over the incident. She is fairly new in the city and was sort of traumatized by the incident. We really had to console and cheer her up!

That is also one way to catch attention of the people. There might be some heroes around who could help. Well the receptionist was really caught by surprised and did nothing but cry. But that was a lesson to her. And she should be thankful because nothing bad happened to her, it was only the bag that was lost.
