Do you shut down your cell phone when you sleep at night?

I always turn off my phone cuz the battery wont hold a charge over night, and my charger port is busted. I have the worst luck with phones.

Shut down my cellphone when I sleep? Nope, I cant. It is always onn 24/7. Im in a career that needs constant communication so it is my duty to be just a phone call away anytime. But the main question is do i like it? On my good days, its okay. But there are times especially when the phone would ring in the middle of the night and the text or call would just be prank or substanceless then i loss my temper and would regret my job. So as a compropmise i do turn off my cellphone when im home late from a night out on a vacation. oOtherwise, its always on.

I do not typically shut down my cell phone. It is actually the only number that my brother has to get ahold of me on. So in case of an emergency I leave my cell phone on. However, I do leave my cell phone across the room. I also like to be able to check my internet on the cell phone at night when stormy weather is in the area. So I leave it on for that reason also.

I turn mine on silent when im sleepin at nite and leave it on the charger. Then if I wake up in the nite i turn it on low so I can hear my alarm in the morn since I use my cellpone as my alarm clock

No, when I'm already asleep I don't wake up when my phone beeps. it never rings at night anyway so I just leave it on. I don't have a bedside clock so my cell is what I use t wake me up in the morning or just to tell what time it is already. As long as no one gets in touch with you then there won't be radiation right?

I worry about all sorts of harms... like antibiotics in milk, preservatives in baby can goods you get the idea. As for the radiation from a phone I heard the harm was in the actual use. It has something to do with the proximity of the phone to your head, how often you use it, and the fact that it's on. You also need to use your phone pretty much all day everyday for it to have a cancerous effect. Well, that's at least what I heard.

Anyways, that's why I try not to worry about the cancerous effect of my phone. I'm more concerned about that foods I eat than my phone. It's one of those things that I need, and it's really not stuck to my head all day so I'm really not that concerned. I only turn my phone off when it's dead and recharging. In order to keep the longevity of the the batter life your suppose to recharge it when it's dead. So that's what I try to do.

I don't turn off my phone. I just put it in silent mode. I'm not sure about the radiation thing... Does it have a scientific basis? ..^__^

Yeah i shut my cell phone when i sleep at night. Actually i don't turn if off. I just put it to silent mode. I have added a couple of numbers in my family group. So if my dad will call then it will ring loudly otherwise it will be silent for everyone else. Thats what works best for me. Can't afford to wake up in middle of night because of some stupid call or sms.

You hit on some very good points. I do not shut my phone off at night. I do put vibrate on rather than the ring. I can still hear the vibration against my dresser and it wakes me up.

I think that if someone feels it is necessary to call me at an hour that I am sleeping, it must be very important and urgent. I don't want the one call I miss to be the one I had to answer.

I Leave my phone on because you never know when someone is trying to call you incase of an emerergy. I never have had a problem sleeping with my phone on.
