Do you shut down your cell phone when you sleep at night? |
|
I usually shut down my cell phone when I sleep at night, because cell phone radiation can harm my health . But, however, I have always worried whether or not to shut down my phone at night, sometimes your friend or your boss who are in urgent matter to inform you, but you have slept and shut down your phone, then you can't get the information, and you or your company may get some loss . So, I think whether or not to shut down your phone when you sleep is a bothersome question . How do you deal with this problem? Share with us?

I typically turn my ringer off, but if I wake up in the middle of the night I can just look at it. You could leave it on vibrate, although that might still wake you, if there's an emergency you would know. I have a phone that goes into a sort of "sleep" mode, but you can have the setting to if you get a call or text, it will vibrate or make sound. It saves battery but I'm not sure about the radiation or if it's really off.

63. kaka135 (2759) | 1 year ago | I don't shut down my cell phone when I sleep, simply because I'm afraid my family or my friends might call me for any urgent matter. Do you need to support your work for 24 hours? Otherwise, I guess it's okay to shut down the cell phone for work purpose.

65. moneymaya (556) | 1 year ago | yes its a worthy queston who are using mobile and I think we should only put it on vibrate mode, because if it would we very urgent then person wold definately keep continue to bell you and after three or four vibration I think evry body can feel the vibration of his mobile, but if some body just want to talk to you he would just give you one or most propably 2 call which is I think not disturbable for any person so this way we can avoid the tension of such a question..

66. spiralbutterfly (172) | 1 year ago | Actually, I never shut down my cell phone. I do put it on silent at night because I get a lot of text messages from my Twitter friends at all hours of the day, and I don't want the phone to wake my husband. However, I don't sleep with it close to me at night. I'm not sure whether or not the radiation from cell phones is dangerous. There are so many conflicting reports about it. But to be on the safe side, I usually keep it in a separate room when we are sleeping.

68. chase07 (2046) | 1 year ago | Hello there! I don't at all but i keep it far from me when i sleep at night. What's the use of protecting myself from the radiation coming from mobile phones when everytime i go out everybody has it. The guy beside you on a bus has it everybody has and there's no way i can protect myself.

69. ksherrie (161) | 1 year ago | Personally I do not switch it off at all.
Because i am always worried that someone would call me suddenly.
Furthermore, I need my mobile phone as my alarm clock to wake up every morning..
However, I did switch it off once in awhile to let my handphone take a rest especially if I am sure no one will be contacting me for that short period of time..=>
I guess i relies on my mobile phone a lot...=>

70. ersmommy1 (10420) | 1 year ago | It is the main phone for our house. So it doesn't often get shut off. It is also used as an alarm for my hubby. Wouldn't be much good if it were shut off.
