ShepherdSpy (2505) | 1 year ago |  A friend (Female) loaned me a copy of the DVD of this movie,and I didn't get around to watching it for a few weeks..(Thinking it was just another Chick Flick!)When I did,I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy! The plot plays with the Idea of a long distance relationship,with the plot twist that the separation between the couple is a 2 Year gap in Time,the link between them being a mailbox at the lakehouse of the title that had significance in both their lives.. the gap gradually closes with their correspondence that reveals crossing of their paths in Her past and His present..but can they get to the point where they can be physically together? Some take cracks at Keanu's Acting,but I think It was a good role for Him..Somebody criticised the chemistry between Him and Sandra Bullock,(this movie paired them up again following "Speed")but they only appeared together in one scene of the entire movie,the rest of the time is them narrating voiceovers of the letters they send one another.. a Long distance romance movie with a paradoxical twist..I'd recommend it!
