Good News! (with a tiny grain of salt)  

Thanks for the link, we have one just like that very local to me as well. I feel bad going to it though because I'm on a very limited budget, but I can probably afford some clothes out of pocket! When I was working at the local employment agency, the volunteers would tell me that they are always short of quality clothing, so I would feel bad taking stuff (and it would have to be at least somewhat quality, because the position is very professional!).

So here's what you do, take what you need now and when you've been working for a while and have some extra money, give back to the organization that helped you. There is no shame in needing a little help, and karma will be pleased if you return the favor by helping people in a situation similar to yours when you are able to in the future. No guilt needed.

That's not a bad idea, I'm getting nervous because my start date looms closer and closer (and I really am having a hard time finding any good sales!). And you're right, my dad got help from the Salvation Army about 35 years ago, and to this day he puts whatever he has in his pocket when he sees volunteers out collecting!

In fact, I can probably donate some of my old work clothes when I go.
