It is very scary, both the intentional murder and the death by neglect. My boyfriend was working for the census briefly this past year, while he was unemployed. It is scary the lack of safety protocol for the surveyors!! Especially since so many of them are older, less physically capable of protecting themselves.

Borderline Personality Disorder is my LEAST favorite diagnosis, it runs very strongly in my family. In my mother and my sister, it was misdiagnosed as bipolar, which although Bipolar can be very debilitating, is much more treatable!! It's very hard to get close to someone with BPD, and although I have NO relationship with my mother (the suicide attempts and manipulative behavior makes it imposs...

The census takers are just doing their jobs. Right now they are surveying, verifying addresses. The bulk of the census information gathering will happen next year, but there is work being done now. People should be more respectful to the census employees, they are working a crappy temporary job, and certainly they should be more careful with their animals.

My boyfriend got an ID that really looked like a five year old could have made with a laminator. The surveyors are not supposed to go into homes, which I suppose is a precaution, but really there is no protection. At a minimum they should be issued mace, for emergencies!
