The song they wont play on the radio by Diamond Rio

I think it is yet more evidence that we do indeed have a state religion/faith. The only one allowed to be mentioned in education.. and a faith it is, as contrary to what many seem to think this faith/theory has never come even close to being proven, in fact science strongly disproves it. Why some things still in the textbooks have been debunked and the writers of the texts know it. I think it is more evidence where the nation and world is headed. The more "In God we Trust" is rooted out, the worse society will become, for what happens when the foundation of a building is shattered?
- Great song by the way! (Freedom is now freedom for some. They say 95% of the citizens believe there is God, so I guess it's the minority that rules?)

I loved it and don't understand why they won't play it. I guess they are afraid of upsetting someone. They are meee!

wow, what a beautiful song. I just dont understand why they wont play it. All this 'political correctness' stuff is getting out of hand. a lot of thought went in to writing this song. what gets me is some of the songs that are allowed to be aired. they shouldnt be thats for sure. i dont understand it

You would think if there were a music genre that would welcome a song like that, it would be country. But the radio stations these days aren't locally owned. And the owners are scared of the flack that May happen. So they would rather not air any song that may cause trouble.

I am not sure but is that not infringing on their freedom of speech?

What a beautiful song and I can't believe that they wouldn't play it on the radio. Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention. I'll pass it around to EVERYONE!

**STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**

This is perhaps geared more toward Christian radio stations and toward other religious radio stations and perhaps there it would get air time.

It is hard for most songs to get air time on normal radio stations...
This one is not the kind that would and it is not just because of the lyrics but also the melody... It is a far cry from R&B, Hip Hop and even pop... It perhaps has a slight Country flavor but there are not a lot of Country stations in my area.

I thought the video was well done and it gave me chills in places... I am not sure why it did that... I think that those who believe in any God at all would like it...

I though think that the song would have been better off if it had not had that "from the school house to the courthouse they are silencing his Word...," as then it was clear that they were only speaking from a Christian perspective. This probably reduced the markets in which this song could play because there are not just Christians in the listening audience. There are all sorts of people in the listening audience and in order to hold their attention and to have them listen to their advertisers, the radio stations have to pick songs that they believe most people will like.

I am not in agreement that this is a Christian nation as the Native Americans had spiritality and a belief in God in this Country before any Christians were here and also because there are a diversity of religions that are practiced here now: Catholism, and Protestanism with its many different forms, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judiasm and other religious traditions.

We need to realize that we have it good here. We have no State religion and this means that we can practice religion and spirituality as we wish. If there was a State religion called "Christianity" there would be a strong possibility that most people who label themselves as "Christian" might not like it as it might not be your brand of "Christianity". If you are a Catholic and were forced to practice as an Evangelical Christian that would be hard to swallow. If you were an Assembly of God person and had to practice as an Anglican you would have a problem with it. It is becauses there is no State religion that we have the ability to practice our own brand of religion as we like. And this is what the Founding Fathers who came from diverse religions wanted.

There has been in the past a problem with some people who do not value religion feeling upset because others have enjoyed it and left them out of that enjoyment. These people have protested and won the right to have religious icons, prayers, etc. removed from schools, courts and the public square... This has caused some upset to be sure... Yet to think that this is all the result of political correctness or to think that this song did not play on the air due to political correctness is, I think in error.

Well ya know that is the american way I'm like ya why why why but God will show them when the time is right
