What to do when owner allows dog to poop in my driveway?

For the last week I have been getting up walking my children to school and find steaming poop in my driveway! Today I saw a elderly lady walking her dog and stop in front of my house with her little dog, I waited to see if the dog would do his business and if he did I was going out there to tell her she needed to pick it up and give her a bag. Would I have been wrong? I hate washing down someone elses dog poop when I don't own a dog and I think it is wrong for anybody to not pick up their dogs mess especially when it is in front of someones driveway, cause the other day I was washing it off my tire what a stanky smell Yuck! Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't think it would have been wrong, we had a neighbor that was having the same trouble. He took a shovel picked it up and went and put it in front of their door. He did this twice, and it never happened again.

We had this problem recently also and my husband went and talked to the neighbors about it. They have since, tied their dog up and keep it in their own yard.

You definately would not have been wrong to ask her to clean it up. We have sort of the same problem here with our neighbors. The difference is we have a dog, but I clean up after him. Some people just don't care. Try and talk to her if you get the chance. Maybe she will be really nice about it, or not!!! You never know until you try. Hope everything works out for you.
