Do you ever wish you had two of something?

I am sitting here thinking how much easier I would have it if I had two kilns instead of just one. I could do greenware in one and glazed pieces in the other and that would get me caught up atleast.
I have glazed pieces going in the kiln right now. Of course I love running a geenware batch cause you can fill the kiln full and got a whole lot more done. You can't do that with glazed pieces cause they cannot touch with greenware it doesn't matter.

Well I can't say that I've ever wished I had two of the same exact thing, but I do wish I had more crochet hooks. Two more, if nothing else. I only have a size 6.00 MM and and 6.5 mm, hook but that's all. So I wish I had more to do some of the projects I want to do. I am just learning how to crochet, so maybe it's the starter's craze?
lol.

I know what you need to ask Santa for. I wonder if you can support the power that it costs you, though? Is it very expensive to run? Or do you consider it an alternate way to heat the house?

My kiln that I have now just costs pennies to run. It doesn't really boost my bill that much at all. I was surprised but I think it is because it is on its own breaker box and the breaker is turned off when the kiln is not running. I had the electric redone when I got the kiln just to be safe.

I wouldn't be able to run them at the same time but while one is coolin (8 hours) I can run the other one.

I do have more than one of many of the things I use in crafting/sewing/machine embroidery.
That last is a biggie for me. I purchased a embroidery/sewing machine, and I now wish I had gotten a embroidery only machine. The reason? I rarely use this high priced machine for sewing. I do all of my sewing on my other, older machines. Those older machines don't have all the fancy stitches available on newer machines but I find I rarely use those anyhow. I have more than one machine set up at a time. The embroidery machine does most of its thing automatically so all I need to do is keep an eye on it and change threads----- giving me time to indulge in other sewing and crafting projects.
I seem to have several knitting/crochet projects going at most times also, they are left in different rooms of the house.
lolol, it seems as if I never finish anything then suddenly I will have half a dozen projects done at once.

Oh I know my mom would love to have one of those embroidery machines. We have two sewing machines though. The kiln would be a huge purchase to get another one.

I have two of just about everything because when we go to our summer home, I would get frustrated if everything there was different. So it took a while, but I finally got the kitchens rearranged so that the oven is on the right of the sink and the fridge behind and stuff like that. I have the same set of pots and pans and other utensils at each place, and am trying to get most of my important computer software set up so that it is not single license stuff.
The Magic Bullet is one kitchen tool I need two of for each kitchen, though, so that makes four! I use it a LOT and the max to run it at a time is 10 seconds. Then with one you would have to let it cool a bit. So I mix 10 seconds on one and then switch to the other for another 10 seconds. Grinding whole grains into flour for baking takes about 40 seconds to get it fine. I used to use a flour mill, but this works better.

Yes, I wish I could have two of a few things. Every time I find a great group of sea glass that really makes a piece of jewelry pop out at my craft table or online shop, it sells quickly... and of course there's the person who noticed it, but didn't buy it right away, and instead walked around the show looking at other pieces or bookmarked the page on the computer for another day.
When they come back around to my table or shop, the piece is gone. At a craft show, you have to see the disappoinment in their face and of course, they always ask if I have something similar... and when working with sea glass, it could take months, even years before finding pieces that fit just pefectly.
It would be great to pull a similar piece out from my jewelry carrier. Unfortunately, sea glass creations are one-of-a-kind creations and that's what makes them special to those buying them... there's not an another exactly alike!
