What Do You Use For Dry Lips

funny I read this now LOL I have a bad habit of sitting and picking on my lips, which I was just doing. I do it when I'm bored, in deep thought, just whenever. Stupid habit like chewing your fingernails or twirling your hair I guess. What I have in my pocket right now is Lypsyl that I got one month on the Walgreens rebate. I actually bought 2 because I did the rebate twice doing one in Steve's name. I'm glad as I really like it. Marsha

I use Chapstick when my lips are dry. If I can't find my Chapstick, I will use Vasoline. I get really annoyed when my lips are dry. I can't stand the feeling. This time of year is really bad for getting chapped lips.

I don't use anything, I don't get dry lips, try not licking your lips that is what can bring it on. I can't stand anything on my lips.

If a lip balm, petroleum jelly, gloss or other forms of lip protectant isn't available anywhere in my place, I will just lick my lips with my wet tongue. Saliva is optional.

I used Blistex medicated ointment, not the solid, but the gel..That is the only thing that heals my dry lips..

I don't really use anything, unless it gets really bad, then I might use some Chapstick, but usually my wife is the one to push that kind of thing on me. I usually won't do anything like that if I am not pushed. But it will usually be regular cherry flavored Chapstick, or vaseline at the most.

To be honest, I actually check this discussion out, not because I really have an answer, but because I want to know what other people are actually using. Chapped lips is also a problem of mine, so I want to know of a potential cure or what works best. I currently use Chapsticks lip balm, and they don't seem to be very effective. I think I'll check out petroleum jelly as mentioned by several earlier respondents.

i use vaseline for dry lips. seems to work wonders for me

Carmex, its the only thing I've ever used. I have the tube because that little jar just doesn't fit in my pocket as well. Never tried Burt's though, I've seen it but I like carmex.

I use the lip balm too sometimes i used petroleum jelly. They are really effective, try it.
