I find that a lot of people want to have sons, because they they want their lieneage (I hope i have the spelling right) to carry on. they feel that their family tree will come to a stand still if they do not have sons. I wonder how many of us know our ancestry beyond perhaps our great grand parents. I do know the names of my great grand parents and what they did but I have no clew of what their parents did or who they were.
Do any of you know you ancestry beyond your great grand parents?

I ask these questions to my mother and if not answered then ask my grand mother as she is the only one alive in the four. She says that mt great great grand father came from afghanitan and I am an indian. So, that was a shocking thing for me.

My grandfather once sat down with me and showed me a family tree of his mom's side. It was very fun to look at it, but I can't remember the names of the people. I do know my great aunt's and great uncle's, but I'm not sure about great great grandparent's.
