Okay there are many women that I know that dye's their hair. I in fact also dye my hair. My natural hair color is brown but I really like having red hair. Do you dye your hair why do you do it? Is it to cover grey? What color is you natural colr and what color do you dye it?

I prefer the term "highlight"!
Yes, I highlight my hair. I mainly do it to add light to my complexion in the winter. I get natural highlights from the sun in the summer. My hair is a dark blonde and appears to be getting darker (and drearier) throughout the years. It is rather dull without highlights. I also am getting a little gray at the temples and the added color "confuses" the eyes of those who may be hunting for those grays!hahaha I actually feel younger and a bit sexier (oooo, did I say that?) when I have a little color in my hair.

I use what's called "hair painting". It's a simple brush technique. If you try it, start small and use only some of it. Test it out in an inconspicuous place (maybe underneath). I actually only mix up half of the mixture even though I have long hair. I think it looks a bit brassy for the first week and then it actually looks quite natural. Touching up the roots is not as big a deal when you highlight too. I have full-colored my hair before and I had to touch up the roots right away (a pain!). If I had more money to spend on myself, I would have that professionally done, but I don't.

I dye my hair only to cover the grey - I dye it my natural brown.

Yup, my natural hair color is black, now turning gray and white. I would dye my hair in shades of brown (copper brown, cappucino, macadamia, light brown, medium brown).

I don't, But I've heard with my grandparents they don't like to dye there hair because it has something to do with the eyesight. It weakens your good eyesight.
Well for me, I really want to dye my black hair with rust color, but unfortunately my hair was dry and hair salon didn't want to dye it. It will get worst as dry hair or maybe it turns out kinky they said. But It looks fine to have dye for me.
But I better follow them instead. They know better, I guess.

I am a dye- hard. I use Manic Panic, because it lasts really long and has a vegan formula that is good for your hair. My favorite is the Pillarbox Red, which I am wearing right now. I am thinking of going pink.

I tell people that when I was a teen I used to dye my hair because I wanted to, now being over 30 it is because I need too. LOL
I have colored my hair all different colors. Black, blonde, and many shades of red. My daughter is a red head and I love it. It is truly beautiful. My nature color was brown but I have started to go grey. Now i tend to color my hair browns as they are more natural looking for me. But I will go from lighter browns to darker browns, depending on the season or moods I am in. But when I was a youth I loved doing very bold changes to my hair.
I actually will be coloring my hair tonight to cover up some new grey growth. I love the feeling of my hair after I get it colored. I usually have to color my hair every 6 weeks or so.
