Popcorn on the my Christmas Tree!

My daughter wanted to make a string of popcorn. After she found it boring I had to finish. Well we hung it on there and it is my labs first Christmas he is only 9mths old so he is still a puppy. The popcorn on the tree is driving him nuts. He usually just comes in the living room and lays down, but you can tell that he smells something and walks around sniffing the presents and the tree all night. Should I take the popcorn off or does he need to learn that he can't touch the tree?

I would say that he needs to learn his boundaries and that it is not okay to touch the tree. I would leave the popcorn string on the tree and tell your dog no. I think that will be good training for him. Think of it this way, if you give in now for this, will you have to continue giving in to him in the future? He is a puppy and will learn if you train him.
