I like a brightly lit room and like to see everything clearly. My wife loves to have subdued lights in the Drawing room or teh sitting room, with lights falling indirectly. She says it is more romantic. What are your views on lighting? Do yo light up your room with bright lights or subdued lights? Do you use coloured lights too?

Hello friend. I like to have a brightly-lit room, where I work and read, but not when I sleep as I love to sleep with the lights off. Each time when I use the computer or do some reading, I love to have the brightly lit as I feel more comfortable this way.

If I'm doing sewing, pc work etc then I like the big overhead light on as it shows more light to work. If I am just watching telly or listening to music then I just have a little lamp on as it just gives out a soft glow to see what you are doing

Hi friend, i like bright rather than subdued lights. It should be clear to see to me. Then it means the romm looks clear and nice also but in subdued lights we can't get that much of clearity.

i would prefer a brightly lit room coz my kids and husband are fond of reading, i don't want them to read in a poorly lit room it would make their eyes sore...

It depends on the room and the setting of the room. So for me its not a one size fit all situation. If its the study or kitchen I want bright lights. Some other rooms I have recessed lights. Some rooms I only like the light from daylight and dim light in the evenings.

I like it a bit dim, not dark and certainly not bright. Florida is just too hot for bright light in my opinion.
