I am knew at crochet, I know a few people know that. Well I'm good with stitches, double, single, and triple.. I found a pattern using single, sl st and hdc... It calls for two colors read and green... I did it all in red, but did not skip the parts where it says to crochet green, I just crocheted it in red instead... I came out with something that was too small, so I frogged and tried again. The pattern called for 24 chains... then in one part, 12 sc, stop and ch 1, turn. Then when I frogged I upped it and did 32 chains, 17 sc, stop and ch 1, turn. It was still too short. I used an H Hook. The pattern called for an H hook. Did I do something wrong? Why did it come up so short? I sc'd all I was supposed to. My fiance and I think that maybe the picture is deceiving, but I'm not sure.
