My grandson gave me a necklace and he said to me treaure it forever.I gave him one too. He is six years old. I am wearing it all the time. He has also made pictures for Christmas and out them on the refrigerator, he just came and stayed two days and we had a wonderful visit. Do you have pictures on your refrigerator from kids or grandchildren? What gifts have they given you that are special?

I myself do not have children either. However, I have kept drawings and crafts that my niece and nephew gave me over the years. As I was reading your question, I smiled to myself because my niece, who is now almost seven, gave me a picture on my birthday about four years ago. Her drawing skills have improved considerably since then. I recently told her that I still had it on my wall, she thought that was pretty neat. She was also very embarrassed as at How "silly" her drawing looked. It is so important to you at least treasure some of those projects that they give us because you're right they do grow up so fast. A couple of my friends, have decided to create memory books for their children. Starting from birth, and each month for the first year they took handprints and footprints ETC. and put them with photographs into a scrapbook. As the children grew, they increased the intervals from every month to every three months, then six months the ETC. The end result will be that they will have memory books that chronicles their growing up. I personally thought that this was a wonderful idea. Other than pictures, I don't have much from my own childhood, there were a few school projects, computer printed certificate's, and a few exercise books. Those were fun to look at see my words, my thoughts, and what was important to me then. We never know what is going to happen to us tomorrow, instead it is better to enjoy Today.

What do they think about those. That is so cool to still have the pictures. I have things my children made too. I have a picture frame and a picture on my desk that my daughter made me. I love them dearly. Its so cool to have some of these things.

I save just about everything from my grandkids and I can't think of any one that is more special than any other. I was always one to save things from my kids also.
