Do you still respond to discussions if "Best Response" has been awarded?

It doesn't matter to me either. If I find that I have something to contribute to the discussion or want to respond, I do. Some people give out best response way to soon, in my opinion. Then later better replies come in...other than the one they chose.

Yes I do, I don't respond to get a best response, I respond because its something I want to talk about.

Yes I do, for one because people give out BR often like I do because a slow computer makes it difficult to go through many pages of postings, that my response may be a better response..I have discussions where I had given a BR, only to have someone come along with a better response..

Hello loverbear, Actually i never pay attention if the discussion's best response is already given to someone, I don't even know what it is good for, i am like you are like to answer if the discussion interests me . Have a great day and happy mylotting!!

I would still respond to a discussion that already have the best response selected if I found that I am in the position of positively contributing to the discussion. I would scan through all the responses and if I feel that I have something more to contribute, I would then do just that. To me, when I respond to a discussion, I am not aiming to get the best response. I am more interested to participate and try to make the discussion more interesting or try to provide answer to the question being asked. Whether or not my response is selected to be the best, I would still be very happy for the opportunity to respond. I am glad that I have been receiving lots of best responses and I would like to say thank you to those who have given me the best response. They do motivate me further but as I said it would not be the reason for me to response. I would even respond to an old discussion that have hundreds of responses if I were to find that the discussion is really interesting. Cheers!

I'll respond. I don't really pay attention to Best Responses anyway. I just post my responses hoping someone will read them! I do award best responses when I have time though.

to be honest, i dont really pay attention to see if it has a best response or not, a post is a post, all best response does is give you a higher reputation.

If it is something that I'm interested in I will still respond to the discussion even if the best response has been marked. I still look at it as a count for a post.
