Do you prefer e-mail or just write letters?

Yes, to all you said, but still.... don't you remember (how old are you? Maybe you don't!) going out to the mail box and finding a letter with your name on it and running up to your room and reading it in private personal time... or just to take a few mintues out of your buzy day and sit down and read from a friend or loved one and actually hold the letter in your hands as you lay back and relax and read the news... instead of sitting in a chair staring at a screen? Yeah, you can print it out, but after you've read it once, what's the point? and why print it out.... just save it on your hard drive and read it later... but you just can't get that personal "all mine" feeling with an email, that you get with a snail mail letter.

I write to my little grand daughters every week - one is 2 the other 9 nad they don't write back, but the 9 year old tells me that she loves getting my letters and has them in a special box on her dresser and when she gets lonely at home, she pulls them out and reads them again. That makes me feel good that I can be there to help her through her loneliness.. can't do that with an email!

In doing daily and routine communications email is best but there are some business mails that you really need to be sent using snail mail. I haven't done writing letters lately except for notes or few words that we put on a card or any other form of communication.

Email has been so effective that it reaches the receiver in just few seconds and you get a reply on same process. Easy, convenient less costly.

I prefer email. No stamps to buy or worrying about forgetting to mail it. I also like the fact that it will get to the person in a few minutes or hours instead of having to wait days or weeks for it to go through the regular mail system. As long as the person you are emailing checks their email every day, the email system is a lot faster. I also like the fact that using email instead of writing letters cuts down on the use of so much paper. It is a good thing when you can cut down on the amount of paper used because it saves trees and reduces the amount of waste that would eventually find its way into our landfills...

yes,it is right.presently most of the people are contact each other by e-mail.it is really usualy communication way.but as a business man,some time i have to write down letter on paper,that's the work,no choice.

I only write now emails.Apart from it is fast and easy,your email copy is with you forever.you can also forward the same letter to many people.One more important thing is you can attach many photos or documents with the mail.More over you can correct spelling mistakes and correct them easily.Above all,you don't
spend any money for sending.

I believe that e-mails have replaced the writing of letters which might take 5 days to reach the intended person and it can be worse if that person is abroad, this way it can even take two weeks before they receive your letter.

E-mail is fast as you said, I can send you one while I'm in S.A and can reach you in few seconds there in China.Is great because then the need to go to the post office is cut, the need of stamps and envelopes is also cut-off.

But i believe there are some people who still use them and still find them helpful, especially people who do not have access to the net

Once upon a time when there were no computers letter writing was the only communication option besides the telephone.In letters one could express oneself freely which was not possible in telephones as one would have to talk for hours.Since the computers came into existense and email later on communication by writing has become lightning fast. Email reaches the receiver at the blink of an eyelid and one can expect an immediate reply if the other person is online.The only disadvantage is that the pleasure of writing with a pen one has to forego. However i guess people don`t mind this as their messages will reach the other party instantly.However since email has come into being the postman has become virtually redundant.

I also the same friend, Because today so many peoples in the world use e-mail rather than writing a letter. It's really easiest way to send a mail without any delay and we will get quick response also.

I just prefer email rather than writing a letter.It is the most practical way nowadays. It is because it is more convenient.You do not need to buy a stationary and envelope. You do not need to buy stamps or go to post office just to send your message.In short, there will be no hassle.You just have to sit in front of your computer and compose your message in your email.You just have to be knowledgeable in computers in order to send an email to your friends.I am always doing that to my friends who are working or living in another country.Thanks to technology for such easy way of communicating to those people who are so far from us.

However, we cannot say that all of our friends have an access to computer. Some of them may be living in provinces where there are no computers. I can say that sending letters via air mail is the good one for that kind.However, I rarely use that. It is because as of now cellphones can be use in sending messages also.I think it more practical rather than learning a letter.
