Do you prefer heavy curtains, light curtains or blinds in your room?  

I only care about my bedroom so I´ll say I prefer heavy, dark curtains that does not permit light to penetrate it. Yeah, I like the dark very much, especially when I´m sleeping.

I always put a light curtains in my house because we are here in a tropical country and it will be so hot inside our house if i hang a heavy one on it. plus the fact that the sunlight will not pass through a heavy curtain also the wind

i like the look of lots of sheers put up at a window. lets a lot of light in for my plants, makes it kinda see through but gives privacy at the same time. i like to have heavy curtains on my bedroom and since winter is here and i feel some cold air at the windows i wish i had heavy curtains all over.

how about the wooden shutters? you can tilt the light by your mind.

I am always using heavy and dark curtains in our bedroom to avoid other peoples seeing us inside of what are we doing there. Light curtains for our living rooms just right for the fresh air and sunlight to come in. I never yet tried using blinds curtains. Happy posting.

Right now in living room i have light weight PURPLE curtains up.
They are for christmas time only
Rest of the house are heavier to keep the heat in cos its always cold.

I'd really prefer blinds but for now I'm okay with heavy curtains since it's still helpful anyway. The only disadvantage of using blinds is that it's hard to clean. Unlike curtains made from cloth, you can just replace it with a new one and wash the previous one.

Oh just like you it depends upon the room. I really like pastel colored curtains for our living room and I also want it in light drapes. This reminds me of buying more curtains for our house . I don't have enough Haha.
As for our bedroom as much as possible we want it dim but cozy. Blue or lavender colored heavy curtains will do. We just used blinds for small windows.

Like you, it depends on the room. Kitchen-light curtains, living rooms & den I like horizontal or vertical blinds with light drapes or even just toppers. In the bedrooms I have a full shade and/or heavy drapes.
