Do you know, I'm really not sure... I suppose a sparkling star would brighten things up but I'd probably put a few little Christmas angels around somewhere aswell. We usually have a rustic Santa at the top of ours. Have a great Christmas whichever you choose happy

if it were up to me, i'd use both. probably an angel holding a star. hehehe but my mother being in charge of the decorations always uses a star. but anything would do actually, what's important is that the family is all together celebrating this season. thanks for taking time to reply. happy holidays!

We always put an angel on top of the tree. It is just more appropriate for our style of tree. I think that either is okay. Both represent the religious aspect of Christmas. The angel for the angel that came to announce Jesus' birth and the star for the star that shone bright in the sky to guide the shepherds to where Jesus was born. I think it is just a personal preferance as to which someone puts on their tree. Merry Christmas.

I guess you're right. It all just boils down to personal preferance. I just hope my mother would switch to using other ornaments once in a while.:-) Thanks for posting a response. And a Merry Christmas to you as well.
