my dad finally had enough ... of my brother

let me explain, all of my life my brother who's older then me. but he would mess things up all the time. all the holidays we had cops at our house. even when it wasn't the holidays he would start fights with everyone in the family.
me and my other brother had gotten into with him a few times, we even had to gang up on him. and i seen so many times him swinging on my dad, and even grabbing my mom.
the night he grabbed my mom they had me locked in the basement, i came through the door and just beaten on my brother for even touching my mom like that. i almost killed him a few times, i even took hits for my dad too.
well a few years he moved into my dad's house, well my dad lived at my step mom's. my brother was told the dogs aren't allow upstairs. but he let them. the dogs crap all over the house. my brother and his family trashed the house.
my little brother and i spent two years working on the house, before the house was worth well over $400,000 but because how long it took us, the market gone bad. now the house is worth like 200,000. dad can;t sale it. me and my little brother takes care of the house still and the yard.
my brother seem to think he did anything wrong. he will send my dad emails talking about killing himself which he treated all of his lfe. and he defaulted on a load from dad.
dad told him, ok remove yourself from the family the money i give for a xams present will go toward the load.
to me dad is doing to the right thing, dad should have done this long ago. put his foot down. my brother is in his 40's.
what do you think? think my dad is right finally having enough of my brother crap?
