I couldn't be on Survivor.... because....

Ok, I started watching those Ponderosa videos. It reminded me of a couple things so now I am fairly sure I couldn't be on Survivor even if I wanted to. 1. I am an ice freak. By this I mean I can't drink anything room temp. Marcus is making himself sangria or something and he's all excited about the ice. I'm not saying I would complain for 39 days either. I just might die of dehydration. 2. Unless I put on 15-20 lbs before going on the show, I'd be in trouble. I'm um... small boned anyway, like smaller than Corinne lol. If Kenny is really short then I'm probably like that size. If I didn't get to eat I'd likely have a problem, and although I love to eat, I'd also likely give up some of mine so that other people wouldn't starve. Again, I'm nice like that. I hope that wouldn't spell my funeral lol. 3. I heard somewhere (don't know if this is true) that contestants do not get to choose what they wear when they first assemble at the beginning after being chosen to be on the show. WHAT IF THEY MADE ME WEAR A DRESS AND HEELS? OMG. How could I possibly do the challenges, fish, do stuff around camp, yoga, pilates, and all that other stuff in a frigging pair of heels?? If I went barefoot I'd probably step on a fishing hook and end up airlifted off the island. Could you be on Survivor? Let's hear your interesting reasons WHY or WHY NOT!

I don't think I'm in good enough shape physically. When I was younger I maybe could have done it. I'd rather do Amazing Race though although some of the things involving heights would be a problem.

NO: I think it would be too hot, I don't think I would end up winning, I don't think it would be worth all the risks (loosing my job cos I'm sure they aren't just going to allow me to take a LONG leave of absence, probably not winning, being video taped most of the day, etc). I'm not too good at competitions, so I don't think I would ever win! Pablo

I wouldn't win either. So, it's not worth the risk. I wouldn't be good at it at all.

You never know, and the cool thing is you actually do rake in a salary depending on how many days you make it before being cut. We found the salary list on a website once. Besides, if you make it to the jury, you get to lie around in some resort waiting for the rest of the people to finish! On another note, my Uncle was in Vanautu during that Survivor season as an anthropologist doing his thesis. They spent a few days with a tribe of people just outside of where Survivor was being shot. He said he saw the "Survivor's" sitting around with cameramen drinking coffee's and eating bagels. So now I'm not sure how real the show is.

Those brownies look fabulous! I wouldn't send you home first, not unless you said that based on your religion, I should be kicked off the island lol!

I could totally be on survivor. I used to spend a lot of time playing medieval games in the woods, so I know how to build shelters, fires and even forage for food. (Gaming geek). I have a fairly high tolerance for others. I can lead, but don't need to be a leader. I am atheletic enough I could outlast quite a few of the weaker players in challenges anyway. Finally, people tend to underestimate me. As an example, when I received my first term university scores (a million years ago) one of my friends gasped and said "OH MY GOD, YOU"RE REALLY SMART." LOL. I come off as a happy go lucky helpful ditz. All of that is true, but I'm good at reading people and I seem to make friends easilly. I would LOVE IT, LOVE IT. I love situations where you have to eek out your survival or tough out stuff. I get all macho about how much cold or hot I can take. I can eat pretty much anything if I'm hungry enough. Unfortunately, the show doesn't accept Canadians - which I think sucks. You'd think after all these years they'd have a few international mixed in with the survivors. :P :P :P

Canadians can't survive in a tropical climate?

Bleh! They don't accept Canadians?? I didn't realize that it was only open to US competitors. That sucks! I am also somewhat of a gaming geek but I never did any of that stuff real life in the woods lol. I'd be okay in the woods though, it would take me less than 30 minutes to build a passable shelter to protect me from rain. As far as leadership, I would just want to have part in that. I wouldn't want to be the ONE person everybody asked things of, I'd just like to be someone whose opinion did matter to the whole. I'd toss out ideas and help other people so we could work as a team instead of fragmenting or blowing up. Even if all the ideas are stupid, at least it is better to try to work together on one instead of having 9 different people having 9 different ways of doing things and nothing getting accomplished besides flaring tempers.
