Mean behavior on Mylot

I don't do politics or religion they say don't argue over these subjects and I don't some people have such strong views and get really carried away.There is always someone with a stronger opinion and will shout you down so I avoid all such matters.The trouble with politics so many have differing views and are convinced they are right,so people I know love to argue politics and really enjoy a debate not me I would rather poodle on and keep my opinions to myself.

Yes, I think some people start discussions just to annoy others and love to attack each other. On the other hand this is a discussion site and most topics could be posted if mutual respect exists. Sometimes though I have noticed that people of certain religions such as some Christians and some Muslims attack the poster just because their religion is mentioned. There was a recent discussion where the poster described the different conceptualizations of " heaven" or afterlife in different religions. He was immediately attacked by a Muslim just because he described the Islamic vision of afterlife. I clearly felt that in that case the reader was reading it all wrong. There is a saying that one should never discuss politics or religion among friends.

Yeah i think sometimes there are discussions started purely to try and provoke an arguement. There are often cruely worded discussions that fire off people buttons. I tend to ignore these peoples discussions they will not earn money from baiting a response out of me. I do believe in controversial discussions and understand we are from all over the world and have different culture but i think all people should beconsiderate of the way their words make others feel.
