Well, you may not have to bother about it. The company that handles rebates for a lot of companies such as, AT&T, Barnes and Noble, Bed Bath and Beyond, Costco, the Home Depot, Honeywell, Macy's Inc., Motorola and Toshiba. They are filing for bankruptcy. Here is the story - http://blogs.moneycentral.msn.com/smartspending/archive/2008/12/15/rebate-hassles-could-take-on-new-meaning.aspx?gt1=33009 What do you think?

I hate mail in rebates. I have always forgot to mail them in. I did once and gave to my boyfriend at the time to mail. He found it 4 months later in his truck. But he gave me the money as it was for $100.00 off on my comp. at the time. If I can't the sale price without the mail in I don't buy it anymore. There a pain.I can barely keep track of my purse let alone a rebate receipt. As I put them in my coat pants pockets and then the pursse. You have a wonderful day. Your friend onlydia

It doesn't make sense to me why the company would need to go bankrupt. I've heard that processing rebates was one of the work at home jobs you could get...not available in my area though. Rebates have been few and far between for years, which is sad. Marsha

Oh now this really really sucks because I ALWAYS do rebates. I do them for everything I can. Last year we bought 2 new computers and they both had $150 rebates so we sent one to us and one to my father-in-law. We figured he might as well get the money instead of no one getting it. Anyways, this really is awful. I always have done coupons and rebates. I try to pinch my pennies until they bleed. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!
