First Snowfall

We had our first snowfall of the season last night, much later than last year when it started in early November. Only about 5 to 10cm fell but shovelling it gave me a little much needed exercise this morning. I know some people have had some bad storms already and of course some of you here have never seen snow.

Though it doesn't snow in the area where I live, I always find snowfall very charming.

Hello Pose. It is good to have some snowfalls in winter. We have a saying that a heavy snow symbolizes a good harvest the next year. Right now in our place we have not had our first snowfall yet. It is usually in January. But it is very cold today because of the wind and rain.

Hi williamjisir, Thank you for responding. I don't enjoy snow as much as I once did, but I know that many young people look forward to it. It is sunny hear today but it is colder. I am hoping that we won't have any storms this week as as we plan to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my son and his family. Happy Holidays. Blessings.

you must be in ontario like me! hold on to your hat, we are sopposed to get the same amount tomorrow (fri) and more on sunday! yuck! i walk with a cane and have to take the bus to work, so i am totally not looking forward to snow!
