What game are you looking forward to receiving this Christmas?

I have played Guitar Hero 2 and Rockband. They are a unique type of game and are very fun to play. Especially if you have a group of friends to play together with. Merry Christmas.

I actually argued with my husband that we didn't need that game and none of us would really like it. I gave in after a few weeks and ever since, I have to admit, we all really enjot it.

The funny thing is that I didn't think that I would like those games as much as I did before I played them either. Everybody always wants to play for just one more song.

Well, those three games are only $130 at the most if you pay full price for all of them. I am a little to old for my parents to be buying me video games. I do a gift exchange with some friends, and the typically give out games and such. Most new games being released are sequels or games based on films. I don't play as much as I used to and I tend to stick to classic series of games. I don't play games all the time, so I can afford to wait until later when they drop in price. There are a few games that come out, now and again, that are unique. i hear good things about LittleBigPlanet.

Well you are lucky to get games so cheaply. Those three games would cost about $300A if you were to buy them here.

I mostly buy online now from America or Canada which, even with the postage has been working out a lot cheaper. Our dollar has dropped drastically over these last weeks due to the world financial crisis so things from abroad won't be cheap any more. The last game I bought was 'The Witcher' (totally excellent) and that was new on Ebay for a reasonable price.

Yes I thought you probably did buy the games for yourself but you never know, some lads are still at home even at 30 years old, and being spoiled by their Ma and Pa.

Yeah, so-called commodity and petrol dollars have been taking a bath lately. Aussie's have it tough because you have to import a lot of things. The CAD was only slightly more expensive than the AUD for a while there. $1 CAD = $1.21 AUD or $1 AUD = $0.827 CAD at the moment. It is unfortunate that games are that expensive down under. Is it really that surprising that piracy is rampant?

While I agree that it is unhealthy for men to be staying at home with their parents for ever lengthening periods of time and I wish that this epidemic were to be reversed ASAP, I believe it is an indictment of today's society just as much as it is an indictment on the character of these men and their families. These men don't grow up spoiling themselves and or societies need to wake up and recognize that sooner or later we will need to rely on these men. Age demographics are working against Western societies and we can't count on the Boomers forever. Delaying the maturity and inclusion of men in society is fraught with danger. Just read about history or look at what is happening in Greece right now.

I would also qualify that not all men who find themselves still at home are created equal. While some may find the environment at home with Ma and Pa comfortable and have no desire to fly the nest, others may be having a difficult time keeping afloat while swimming under a mountain of debt due to loans for education and are using an extended stay with mom and dad as a way to crawl back out of the debt hole. Western societies aren't working effectively and are in as desperate need of restructuring as are the "Detroit Three" automotive manufacturers. The whole world is gripped in an economic recession because of the ill advised and unsustainable way that Western societies have been living.
