Yeah it's a lot cheaper nowadays compared to say 2 year ago. I'm using a 1Gb Sandisk CF card, and a 4Gb Seagate CFII card. I probably will get an 8Gb soon.

Maybe because I'm from Japan I can get these things for much less than what you are presenting here. Actually I got my 2GB SD card for 5 dollars. So, when I've seen the prices I said to myself, well, what the heck, let's buy another one. So now, I have two :)

But HD are also very cheap, you can get 1TB for $150 ;)

i think you are going to see more and more of this. It's great for those of us who still have jobs or pay coming in. Unfortunately it also shows that there is less and less demand and so less and less workers need to produce these wonderful bargains. That's the way a demand market works, when it's going up people work and when it's going down they don't.

With people buying cameras with larger MP count you need larger cards. The more you produce the cheaper they get. Last year I got a great deal on a SanDdisk @G CF Card for $24.00, today I would consider it foolish to buy one for that price.I even say a 16GB CF Card selling for under $100.00. Memory is cheep. It is cheaper to buy extra cards than to buy a storage device when traveling.

I have sd cards and I love how cheap they are... In fact, I buy mine on ebay and they are super super cheap! :]

Hello sameroad. It is good that you have bought a memory card at a cheaper price. Now the price for these stuffs are getting lower. When I bought my first digital camera, I paid more than three hundred RMB for a memory card half of a 1GB. It was rather expensive, but now to get a 1GB memory card is only around two hundred RMB or less, depending on the brand of it.
