Do you think you can handle orders from your boss who is your best friend?  

its only a matter of work but if the subordinate one is low i.q.nor she/he is envous to hes/her friend then conflict in bieng friends may occur..your correct professional jealousy is really the top list why some relationship ruined..avoid bienf envous,instead be happy of what your friends has...

It can be a little bit hard because we tend to mix work related things with our personal life. But it's not impossible. I know some people will really differentiate things very well.

I have been in this situation, and I found it very easy to do as I was told. It actually turned out to be a good thing that my boss and I were friends outside of work. I respected his authority, but at the same time, he respected my opinions as well. He would often call me into his office and close the door to ask my thoughts on certain issues. On the other side of that, I could walk in his office and close the door and vent my frustrations. Even if I disagreed with something he had done, I could tell him without fear of having it held against me in the future. He knew the industry, and he knew the job, so the occasions where I actually did disagree with him were few and far between. I was comfortable enough to go into his office and tell him that I was in disagreement, and he was always open to hear why I felt the way I did. He would always explain why he did something a certain way, and would always tell me why we couldn't have done things the way I thought they should have been done. On a couple of occasions, he actually liked my ideas enough to say that we would try them for a while and see how they worked out. I actually miss working for him, and I would go back to work for him right now. Neither of us work for that company anymore, though, so it would definitely be for another company, but I know I would enjoy working for him again. We don't see each other as much as we used to, but I still consider him one of my best friends...

i think i can handle order from boss who is your friend, we are friend outside the office but in office hours he is my boss.
