first lost tooth

my daughter lost her first tooth this week. she collects everything and wanted to keep her tooth. however she wanted the money from the tooth fairy. so she asked me to write a letter for the tooth fairy. here is what she told me to write. "can i keep my tooth but give me money anyway, $5 please." i laughed so hard that she specified how much she wanted.
did your kids want to keep their first tooth and how much do they get for them?

Hi poppoppop111, it's great to see you! That is really cute, she sure knows what she wants. How is your daughter doing? It sounds like she is getting big.
I kept my son's teeth after he put them under the pillow, I just couldn't throw them away. When he lost his first tooth, he told us he didn't want the tooth fairy coming into his room while he was sleeping, he didn't want any strangers in there. He asked if I could put his tooth under my pillow.

I think that $5 is way too much for the tooth fairy to give. You ahve to remember she has a mouth full of teeth that are going to fall out sometime. I give my kids $1 per tooth unless they had to have it pulled by the dentist or it comes out in a weird way.
The letter is cute. Are you going to let her keep the tooth?

That's kind of a lot of money. ;) When I lost my teeth, I only got like 50 cents to a dollar. I guess you to add for inflation now. hehe Gosh, your little girl sounds so cute.

she is cute and comes out with the funniest things. ya i used to get a dollar back in the day. five is a lot to me but i gave her that for the first one then she will get 2. she'll probably wonder why the price went down though
