What is your favorite type of jazz?

When I was a kid my dad played a lot of dixieland records, and I thought they were pretty cool even if they were a bit outdated. They have proven to be timeless, though. When my son was in high school he was in the jazz band, and I heard more jazz then than every before or since. The high school jazz band was pretty good itself and won state competitions, but they would also have guest musicians at some of their concerts, and man, those boys could plaaaaaaay!
