Yes, a cat can do anything it wants to do. They can do a lot of damage with their claws, even accidentally. A kitten once jumped onto my knee being friendly and scratched my knee quite badly, I wouldn't like to know what it would hvae done if it had meant to hurt me.

My cat cat can take the most baddest, meanest, and toughest person there is and chew him up and spit him out. Of course my cat is a Siberian Tiger.

Yes, A Cat could kill you. - If you are allergic to them - If they pass a virus or disease through their bites - If there is urination and defication all over it can pose serious health threats. - Their bites and scratches can lead to easy infections. - They are very good fighters. I have watched a single house cat take on 20 coyotes, and it did not take her long to rip the nerves on their spines in the center of their backs. I have watched the same cat chase horses. She at least loved humans and never went after a person other then a nice claw grab in the hinder.. Which is good, because that Cat, Radar, proved to me, how dangerous a little tiny domesticated cat could be. and well... After treating her for ear mites, and infections once every 6-12 months... Oh yeah I believe, Cats can kill if they wanted to. This little cat had the strength to rip through 16 towels, and three shirts, as I tried to gentle wrap her paws so I would not get clawed up while cleaning out her poor little ears. Needless to say I had only seconds to work! But I managed to survive Radar, and her Art of the Claw! :) ... - DNatureofDTrain

I doubt that a common house cat will ever be able to kill a person in a one-on-one fight. But if you get enough of them together (like maybe 20 or 30) then they might be able to kill you. While a common house cat might not be able to kill you by itself, large predatory cats (such as lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards, cheetas and mountain lions) can rip your face off!
