The vet did not have our appointment in the computer

Last night we took out dog to the vet. Her ears and paws have been bothering her and the cleanings we're doing aren't working. She's also a bit behind on her shots so we called last Friday and made the appointment for last night. Well, we get there and they tell us they have no appointment scheduled for us and they are totally booked. We know we had an appointment because we had to call back and let them know we haven't taken her somewhere else for her rabies shot - they need to have a special technician for that. We "re" scheduled her appointment for tonight and if there's another mix-up I think I might have to find a new vet...

With our vet the only time we have to make an appointment is when it requires surgery or something like that. When it is time for shots we just go in and if it is too crowded we go back later or the next day. I might call ahead and see if they are very busy. Christmas Eve our dog was really acting strange for a little bit and took him to the vet and found out he had a seizure, the first time this has happened to him or to any pet we have ever owned. When he was taken in they got right to him. The vet we use is also very reasonable and very good.

Wow, that's kinda cool. Our vet is usually pretty busy so we definitely have to make an appointment. I can take her to the emergency care if it's needed though. Fortunately I haven't had to do that.

She gets yeast infections, which I'm sure this is again. Normally we can control it, but this time it's getting out of hand. She'll be alright eventually. If I have the same problem tonight though, I am going to have to find someone else to care for her.

That would bug me. We had a similar experience at my dog's "eye doctor" luckily they were able to fit us in. Most vets and or human doctors will do that if you are really insistent on seeing them.

If there's no other appointments open, I'm not going to sit around for hours waiting to be fit in. It was so much easier to just reschedule.
