What Would You Do  | |  I am the enforcer at my company, I have no better way of putting it. The company has very specific rules about e-mail attachments and what can and can not be forwarded.
I go to lunch with the same three people every day, we call ourselves the lunch box. One the members of my lunch group has a border line offense of the e-mail usage policy (lude or nude pictures).
Since it is border line, do I let it go or do I report him? What would you do?

| | | | | | | | 1.  goodhappens (368) | 1 year ago |  If it is borderline, I would talk to the person about it, let them know that as your job you have to say something but this time it will only be to him or her, but please do not send stuff like this again because it puts you in a bad position.

| goodhappens (368) | 1 year ago | You could send out a e-mail to everyone stating that is come to your attention that there is a "borderline" email that was sent out and with it being the holidays you are going to look past this event for this one time only and would the party involved please review the rules to internet usage to make sure this does not happen again.

Tell him to stop perving at work. You are his friend...and I think it's better to tell him BEFORE he crosses the line so that you can both avoid the akward situation that will take place if/when he gets reprimanded. Just my two cents.;)

After all, office time and office computers are for work, not for forwarding border line offensive, or any other kind of material. Stick to the program, and make sure that people keep their minds on their business.
