You know those commercials for Jack In The Box fast food commercials where the body is a man's body and the head is the well-known big white ball with the little pointed hat on top and simple dot and line for facial features? Ever wonder know WHO plays that guy? Is he famous, well known, or even the same one every commercial? Well, i was just watching the Rose Parade and Jack in The Box had a float and they spilled the beans as to who "Jack" really is.... IT is the Vice President of the advertising company that creates the commercials - and he does it everytime! Didn't give his name, but now you have the answer to that age old question that would make a good Jeopardy "answer"...Who is Jack? Did you know? And now that you do...what a way to star the new year - with wonderful knowledge...from the Rose Parade...relayed on MyLot!!!

this is an article i found on yahoo.... Appropriately enough, it lists an actor named "Jack Tate" as the man who played Jack in a commercial that also starred such A-listers as Gary Coleman and William Hung. We're not sure if Mr. Tate was the man in the mask, the voiceover actor, or both. But we do know he's earned the right to park in Mr. Box's space should he ever stop by the office. p.s. -- a reader of Ask Yahoo! recently wrote in and suggested "Jack" is played by a man named D1ck Sittig. According to this article, Sittig hasn't confirmed the allegation. The mystery continues...

I have to admit that I never wondered that in the least, as I consider that commercial one of the most idiotic on the tube, and cannot abide JiB food, and I call it that with deep reservations. Maybe it is just because the JiB local to us are badly managed (and not very clean)--maybe they have good locations somewhere else. They must, or surely the chain would have gone under a long time ago.

I think the commercials are pretty cute, but don't care for the food. Don't really know why, just been a long time of my thinking it wasn't very good. THings might have changed in recent years and the "why" of my not liking them might not exist anymore, but I still just drive on by.
