Happy new year everyone its 2009 Woo Hoo!.
well anyway I was just wondering why we are not allowed to discuss our earnings, I stopped talking about my earnings a while ago because I know that its not allowed, but why I mean I would think mylot would want other people who may find this site like I did to be able to see some real testimonials to show that this site is not a scam, and the only reason I ever spoke about my earnings in the past was to help someone who may be woundering about how legit this site is whats the harm in that, I dose anyone ever wounder why too?

I think in the guidelines it says not to discuss earnings because of the mylot algorithm. That might be totally different from what your talking about, or what mylot means by not discussing it.
I guess they are afraid someone's going to figure out their algorithm and game the system.

Happy new year to you also. Hope you had a great time in what ever you did. I was unaware you couldn't talk about your earnings on mylot. I don't mind talking about my earnings etc. I have nothing to hide. i know i should come on here more often to try and get more earnings as im in desperate need on money, and i still have about $9 to my first payout and have been a member for along time now, and should have had at least 2 payouts by now. Embarrassing i know.

Yea mylot dosent allow us to talk about our earnings I find that kind of strange I didnt mind talking about my earnings ether until I found out that it wasn't allowed lol Iv been here for 4 or 5 months or so, and Iv always made payout this will be my third payout here, well thanks for responding and good luck reaching your payout, you might make it this time just keep posting and dont forget that the star ratings do affect your earnings in some way, and it helps to also upload a few pics once and a while just make sure there listed under public domain or personal pics, and try not to miss a day of posting even if you only spend in hour of posting a day, you can do it. oh and one more thing add as many friends as you can add anyone who request your friendship because the more friends the more responses and have fun.

I've never thought is was important in the first place. Maybe, at least to me, it just sounds slightly rude to ask what anyone's earnings are. I wouldn't want to know what someone's income is. I don't think that there are many people that just openly discuss it themselves. It's like the old fish story. My fish is bigger than your fish...lol Who really cares? I really don't think having to know what anyone makes should be such a big issue. We're all here to have some fun and make some pocket change. I don't think anyone here is making enough money to retire to Florida on.
I think that the question should be, is it worth it to post on myLot. Then the answer to that would be, yes. If you're looking to keep money in the cookie jar, then, yes. Just don't think that it will pay the mortgage...lol

I think it's just like when you work in a company, you're not allowed to talk about your salary. Some people are paid more depending on their productivity or seniority. So her eon mylot, you might be paid more also if you post more quality discussions or if you have a higher star rating. i don't really know how the algorithm works, but once people start comparing their earning powers then it might cause some controversy..

I really dont know what is the reason why are we not allowed to discuss our earnings. I really doubt the reason why such a thing is hppening. There should be a total transparency in this thing which unfourtunately is not there.

I think it has been explained that the system is a very complicated one and i think once people start discussing this area of things, them people start getting things confused and even think they are being cheated and whatever.. plus the fact once earnings start to get discussed the whole forum could be taken over with money talk ans that gets a bit boring after awhile i think..

Yes you have some good points, people have told me that they have earned a lot more then me but I dont care I'm happy for them, and just thankful for whatever I can earn here, of course it would be wonderful to earn more but I'm content with what I earn regardless of what others say they've earned mylot is a great fun place and I'm just happy theres a site called mylot.
But your right it could get boring if everyone started talking about there earnings to much and nothing else.

I have never wondered that. It just doesn't matter to me. I am sure that admin here have their reasons. I would not discuss my earnings anyhow. I look at it this way if a person wants to know what I have earned I don't mind them PM ing me. I will answer them that way. Just not a big deal to me.

I guess it dosent matter that much to me I'm just a little curious as to why this rule was implemented thats all, anyway I use to speak about my earnings in the past only to help others realize that this site is legitimate, isn't that one of the reasons why were all here to help post some useful information I remember when I was a newbie and I didnt know a lot about this site and I thought it mite be a scam but after I heard a few testimonials from other mylotters I felt reassured and motivated.

I think certain activites, like referrels, brin in more money. So, people could meet cash out by just referrring a ton of people. I only say this because I see a ton of people with very low post numbers claiming to have reached cash out, so either my theory is true or they're just lieing to gain attention in their posts. Thus there wouldbe cash given out and a ton of memebers not posting. I think mylot wants the site to grow. So, they don't discuss this.
