What Star Wars Film Have You Enjoyed The Most? |
| |
| I absolutely LOVE Star Wars and I have lost count the amount of times I have seen all six films now Over the Christmas and New Year period I had a wonderful Star Wars marathon! Sitting in my bedroom with the lights out and a nice big screen to watch Episodes 1, 2 and 3 with a drink and nibbles, it was just like the movies (without anyone to disturb me, mobile phones going off or people arriving late!) I never get bored with watching them, I actually went to the cinema to see the final piece of the puzzle, the most tear-jerking of all the three films Revenge of the Sith, yes I know I did shed a few tears, how that lovely little lad Anakin turned into the most evil and hated man in the Galaxy and when poor Padme died with a broken heart, it was time to reach for the mansize! So which of the six Star Wars films did you enjoy the most and why? Episode 1 'Phantom Menace' Episode 2 'Attack of the Clones' Episode 3 'Revenge of the Sith' Episode 4 'A New Hope' Episode 5 'The Empire Strikes Back' Episode 6 'Return Of The Jedi' And who is your favourite character and your worst character? I can't help but like R2D2 and I couldn't stand Jar Jar Binks he was so irritating! | | | | | |

| | I enjoyed Revenge of the Sith best. I felt like it was the climax of the entire saga, the one part where everything falls into place and opens the way for the older trilogy. Merits include its wonderful special effects and fighting scenes. I didn't like the acting, but the merits made up well for it anyhow. Cheers~ | | | | | | |

| | The final piece of the puzzle indeed, I love the opening scene with the clones v droid army in mid air battle, brilliant. You can excuse the acting, although it wasn't that bad to be honest. | | | |

| | I have to admit that I was a Star Wars junkie at one point. I've watched them all and I still love the first one. I think it's because I've watched interviews with all the actors/actresses and how this movie even came about. No budget, short on supplies - they didn't even know if the movie would make it and look where it is now. Star Wars mania. I love them all, but the first one is the one that I admire the most. Because it came out of nowhere with little to no funding and became an absolute smash hit. Kind of like rooting for the underdog, which in all reality, is what the series is all about isn't it. | | | | | | |

| | Exactly! Even though it was made in the 70s it still hasn't dated that much and even in another thirty times it will still be watched and loved and appreciated. | | | |

| | See that's the thing, it wasn't dated, it was ahead of the times. It was a risk really thus the lack in funding. I think out of the series, nothing compares the first, the original. That is where the story all began. | | | |

| | True I agree with this. George Lucas considered the story as a reflection of his own rebellion against the studios in Hollywood. That's what made the first trilogy special; just like The Matrix, the movie started out as a low-budget, personally-financed venture that succeeded. | | I have never understand the star wars episodes. I must admit that I am not a fan of science fiction let alone of star wars. I tried to follow some episodes but since they are not my type of genre that I like, I always switched off to another channel. | | Ah makes a big difference, need to enjoy and appreciate sci-fi in the first place but I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. There are some genres I can't watch because they don't do anything for me! | | | |

| | My eldest is into Star Wars like a lot of kids at school but he has seen a couple of the films, my mum has got them on video He actually got some Star Wars lego for Crimbo and that was the first thing he actually went off and played with umongst all his gifts including the ds I bought him. My mum has got him one of those Star Wars helmets that changes your voice for his birthday on Tuesday. I will get around to buying all the films one day but I don't think the youngest is old enough for them just yet but I know he has watched one of them already with his brother! | | | |

| | Wolfie I know you were in your glory! A Star Wars Marathon, who can ask for anything more. Hahaha I have a lot of catching up to do, I missed most of them. Like you said, those are the kind of movies that you want to watch and not be disturbed so you can follow the story line and really enjoy it. | | | | | | |

| | I'm not sure which one it is, but I liked the one with the big fat thing... is that Return of the Jedi? There is also one with some funny looking creature.. I think it has a really long neck... I don't remember.. but it was quite comical. I also like the one where Darth Vadar is found to be Luke's father. | | | | | | |

| | Do you mean Jabba the Hutt? He appeared in Episode 4 and 6 and was finally defeated and destroyed. Darth Vader is found out to be Luke's father in Episode 5. Told you I was addicted, is there hope for me LOL! | | | |

| | Ugh I hate Jar jar, I wish he had died, I hope that the Emperor wiped out all the damn Gungans after he took over. Now I love all the movies. Every single thing about them. Boba Fett was one of my favorite characters. SO have you read any of the books? Now for being a huge star wars fan, do you own, or have you seen the Star Wars Holiday special? | | | | | | |

| | Boba Fett met a very very nasty end didn't he! He hasn't done well, losing his father in Episode 2 poor boy! I haven't read the books to be honest, I prefer to watch the films, do you reckon they'll ever make Star Wars VII? | | | |

| | Actually he didnt die lol. The books are canon. In one of the books, his mandalorian armor helped him survive the sarlac's stomach long enough to be able to get out of it. He almost died getting out but he did get out. I sure hope they dont make a 7, it would be cool but well with all the books being canon, unless they make a movie out of one of the books, or a few of them, it would totatly change everything. | | | |

| | Wonderful to hear someone who appreciates Star Wars as much as me, what is the book my friend, because I have some Amazon vouchers I could use, I would like a comprehensive book that covered all 6 films instead of buying them individually. I was brought up on the original episodes 4-6 but I do prefer the first three episodes, mainly because of the special affects but also because they complete the whole story. General Grievous I found annoying and with that irritating cough reminding me of my father who had one, I found it strange that a robot had a cough???? Enjoyed reading your response, may the force be with you, the force is strong in you! | | | |

| | I gave one of my sons a Star Wars book for Christmas, too, vicki. It's some sort of electronic thing with something like 3,000 questions and he chooses the answers by pressing buttons. He seems to love the book. | | | |

| | The book is Star Wars The ultimate Visual Guide Special Edition. The boys sit there for hours looking at their favorite characters. I think with general grievous it is that when they play the video game they get four super cool light sabers that can do some really cool moves with. My son just bought his second light saber yesterday so that they can duel around the house. That reminds me that we have an rt-d2 3d puzzle that we haven't built yet. It was too complicated for them when we got it, but maybe I should crack it out. It is a storm day today and no school. Thanks wolfie for BR | | | |

| | Hello Wolfie I liked Episode 4, A New Hope, and Episode 6, Return of the Jedi the most. I know that I like Episode 4 the best because it was the first one I saw and that was when it was released and it was just an amazing film then. I watched it again a couple of years ago and I was shocked with how slow it was compared to films today, but it's still my favorite. I like Hans Solo the best. I guess I would like Jabba Hut the least. | | | | | | |
