Time for a new scanner  

I enjoyed the scanner when a man was running naked somewhere where I live, that's all I can think of

We have a scanner and it is on all the time.
I especially like it when we are going to get bad weather or if we are having a bad snow storm so I know about road closings and such, because we live out in the country.
It is really exciting because sometimes when the weather is clear I even pick up aircraft flying over and most always know if Life Starr is in the area.
It is my lifeline to the goings on in the community and surronding areas.

You hear the pigs on a scanner ? well woot woot good for you Mr F.
The only thing i can here on my scanner is a whirrlin sound when it scans pics.
Gosh i am so jealous,please show me the way to hearing my local pigs on my scanner.

I don't have a scanner. Is it like a kind of amateur radio? Once I had a handheld one but I had to sell it. I wanted to obtain an amateur radio license. At that time there was the introduction of the internet in my island and the fervor for the internet phenomena took over the amateur radio passion.

Wow you did well at that price. I also bought a police scanner on Ebay but I paid over one hundred dollars which is still cheaper than I'd have to pay out here.

I chose a photo printer/scanner/copier. I liked the idea of all in one, I chose Epson, don't choose Epson if you ever get one of these. LOL! Although thebohemianheart has the same model and she's not had any problems with it yet.

Hello, fwidman. It's a long time after which I'm back here, though I've constantly kept a check on your varying avatars, lol. Well, coming to your discussion, I really don't like the jarring sound of those police scanners. I have a lot of more soothing things to listen to. And it's not that so many interesting things usually go on in our city. So it'll be a wastage of money here.

We used to have a CB craze in England and so many people used to go on these things listening in to the police and emergency services they blocked the air waves and ruined the tv signal so nobody bothers anymore,I think you have to have a license in this country now for one of those.I have no interest in listening to the airwaves myself but if you do fair play.Glad to see you have got a scanner and at a good price as well.We have had a scanner for twelve years and shows no sign of packing up{touch wood}famous last words.

Try get one from http://www.techHighStreet.com check and compare the prices there. How about you even buy a Printer/Scanner that has high resolution and you can even go home and print your own images in good quality.

Never really listened to one. I remember having a CB when I was a kid but that's about as far as I went.
