how are you with recalling your dreams???
my dream recollection is pretty lousy......sure, i've had some dreams that were pretty outstanding and at least a piece of the dream sticks in my memory.
but for the most part, just for that brief instance of waking do i remember if the dream was even good or bad......and then it quickly fades into the fog of reality.
i know what you're gonna say....."get a pen and paper and write it down"
heck, by the time i untangle myself from the blankets, my dream is long gone.
my girlfriend on the other hand tells me about her dreams and she remembers every detail........what she was wearing, what the lighting looked like, weather patterns, even the brand of the can of fruit cocktail she was eating.
here's an example of one of my dreams:
ummmmmmmm....................ummmmmmmmmm............yeah.........ummmmmmm........i think there was.......like a piece of paper or maybe cardboard...........could've been the hood of a car..............some kind of writing or numbers or something.............hope it wasn't some new multi-million dollar idea........
ummmmmmmmm...........that's all.
now, here's an example of one of my girlfriend's dreams:
i was wearing a navy blue evening gown with a mother of pearl pendant, and purple fairies started coming through the walls and.....Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah........and the winged monkeys were sitting in 2 big oak trees, the one tree had 7 apples in it and the other 1 had 42 apples and...........Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah............................45 MINUTES LATER!!!..........and so, finally the mermaids shot their underwater rocket propelled grenade launchers and blew up the submarine!!!
and i always tell her, DAM GIRL, you should write screenplays or Saturday morning cartoons or something.
so, do you have good recall of your dreams or not so much???

well, bear.... women are alllll bout detail.. cause we have a brain!
and men are... well.. um...... men
I remember the first "real" time I listened to a male conversation... no detail, nothing but the faded facts, no imagination.. that' how you guys do it!
Women dream in detail, talk in detail... and LOVE detail!
now, about this dream I had.. I dreamt that I was standing on a beach, in my one piece blue bathing suit. the one with no back and the neck line goes down to my belly button... no sides in it.. just one string conecting it all... yeah.. anyway .. I stood there and the water was not blue but purplish like the purple misty lookin' purple... and......

yeah, us men have an IGNORE switch in our brain that we use when we're watching TV or when our wives or girlfriends are talking.
but it's good that you don't give up riyasam......it helps to build character......and your vocal cords.

The other night I had a dream that this dark hair woman told me to buy a tattslotto ticket, when I got up and told my hubby he made me go out and buy one well guess what???? I didn't win a cent!!!!
Never trusting my dreams again
But anyway back to the question at hand I am a bit like both of you! Sometimes I can remember a dream really clearly and other times I think I know I have a dream last night but do you think I can recall what it was about! Just as well goes more then likely my dream was lying to me anyway hahaha

I am with you on this one man! I rarely recall much from my dreams. Your girlfriend has vivid memory apparently though. i like the part about the trees and the exact numbers of apples. hahaha
who is able to get all those details from a dream. maybe girls are more in tune like that. I also thought it was funny how you mentioned the mermaids shooting grenades at the submarines. that's some funny stuff. i agree she needs to be writing a book or something with all that detail.Cash in on the dream litterally. haha

Oh man....... Women and their photographic memory sconi! You know the scene yes? You'll be sitting there one day, perfectly relaxed and the missus will say something like "Do you remember when we first met?" and you'll tell her that yes, of COURSE you remember! And then she'll say, "What colour dress was I wearing?"
The fact that you met some 10 years ago is absolutely irrelevant! She of course KNOWS; we will of course GUESS and it all goes downhill from there.....
Anyways, I got a bit off track there!
I don't remember any of my dreams really and can't even recall the last time I even had one!

My dreams mostly tend to be nightmares, and I wake up with a shock feeling something terrible has happened. It takes quite a while before I realise things are 'normal' and the nightmare thing hasn't happened after all. After a few hours, I rarely remember the details - only that I'd been frightened and upset. Many of the nightmares seem to be about abandoned or burnt out houses, where I either can't find family members or they are leaving me. Strange, I know.

you should try to sleep through your nightmares........they usually turn out ok at the end.
i never remember the dream.....i just kind of know if it was good or bad.

Well I don't really rmember my dreams but sometimes I do remember some things not clearly. Well it is true that your girlfriend can write these dreams, since she remembers them so easily, it would be fun in developing them into an intersting adventure story, why not?
