I know that us parents should not so this, but I have to admit that I sometimes find myself doing this. Pop in the Cars DVD and I have over an hour to be able to clean the house, fix supper, get dressed etc. I do not do it all of the time. He is a very active kid and will only sit good for a little while. If I did not do this every so often than I would never be able to get anything done.
Does anyone else do this?

I let my daughter watch her VHS tapes down here in the family room so that I can no hop on myLot for a bit, but I don't leave her in a room and go do something else. Only because she cannot be trusted in a room alone for more than a few seconds. My daughter is almost 2 and she is into everything as soon as your back is turned. Sometimes even when you are in the same room as her.

Yeah my son is in the living room with me most of the time, but he does have a vcr in his play room now. But he is always coming out every couple of minutes and asking for a hug!!even when he is in there just playing with no tv.

I see nothing wrong with a little bit of tv. It actualy helps their social skills. At daycare they watch tv for a half an hour at least. I just don't agree with watching it for long periods of time.

Well, I don't pop in a DVD but I put on one of their favorite shows. It keeps them occupied enough not to get into any trouble while I take a quick shower and get dressed. Clean up is a game in our house and everybody helps. They even help with the dinner preparations.

I do record her dvds so she will stay a couple of hrs watching dvds, however she feds up easily and dosen't spends more that half an hour in front of the TV. It is true that they don't give you time to do nothing, there is nothing harm in leave kids wathcing some TV. However the important thing is that they don't do it too often. because there are many important and intersting things to do like practising some sports.

yes, i fo. You see my sonloves the mickey mouse clubhouse in disney channel. And of course Mickey mouse is not on every hour. Fortunately i had this dvd of the progam that I can play for him when he wants to see the program when it's not on tv. That would keep him going for half and hour.
