Do you scrapbook with your children?

I scrapbook with mine. They think scrapbooking is just awesome. They would do it 24/7 if they could. They would even give up Spongebob to scrapbook. Now you know they love it. I did get this idea from a discussion that I commented on called Finding time to Scrapbook. Almost everyone that has children say that they do not have time to scrapbook. But if you get your children involved then you can scrapbook while they do. And it is great family time I think. You can all share your talents with each other and your ideas. It is great quality time with your children. My daughter is 6 and my son is 4. My 6 year old is great at it. She can come up with some great ideas. Now my 4 year old is still a little rusty he likes the stickers and gem stones but he enjoys himself so much. I told my cousin one day when we were talking that I know she thinks I am crazy with all my scrapbooking stuff I have and buy and she said "Actually I think it is great because your kids enjoy it and are involved." They both have a passion for it. I am glad that they do because maybe it will stick with them and then when they grow up maybe they will scrapbook with their kids. So, do you scrapbook with your children? If I can figure out how I am going to put some pictures on my profile page I am going to upload some of their stuff.

What a wonderful idea to do your scrapbooking with your children! I am going to suggest it to my daughter-in-law. I gave her and my daughter scrapbooking starter kits for Christmas. My daughter's child is not quite 2 yet so too little to get started but it won't be long before he can play along. My daughter-in-law is busy with 6 kids of all ages from 4 months to almost 8 years old. She can have lots of little scrapbookers working along side her.

And it it is something that her children can carry on with their children one day. At 2 mine would usually just use stickers and put them on the page but it is not to early to start. And for your daughter in law with six kids that would be great quaility time for them to spend together and would make wonderful memories. Thanks for the response.

She is also homeschooling the ones who live with her full time so she maybe could even encorporate the scrapbooking into some of the schooling lessons somehow.

The homeschool book that I have has stuff in it to make copies of for a bulletin board and we make copies of that stuff to use in the scrapbooks. So for a lot of the school arts and crafts we use that stuff in scrapbooks.

That's great! My kids like to scrapbook too. My daughter more than my son. But she likes to rush through things so pages aren't as detailed or thought out as they could be. But I figure as long as she is enjoying herself, that's okay. Both my kids just love looking at their photos.

My children love looking at their pictures too. I think they like to take pictures more. LOL My son wiil get me to take a picture of him and then he wants to see it. My daughter loves scrapbooking. The picture on my profile is one of her pages that she done. As you can see she puts tons of stuff on her pages right now. She enjoys herself to so as long as we introduce it to them and they have an interest in it they will eventually take more time on it and might even do better than us. LOL I am so glad that my kids love to scrapbook though. It is nice to go to town and instead of toys she wants me to buy scrapbooking stuff. I love it. Have a great day.

I do it with my grandkids....one granddaughter in particular. When I go visit them in Arizona she and I do alot! Actually I have been scrapping alone this weekend trying to get caught up on many of my pictures from two years ago! It's so wonderful you scrap with your kids! I also did it once with my little granddaugher when she was just one...it didn't go well but maybe we'll try again soon!

I think it is great that you scrapbook with your grandkids. The earlier they are when you start though the more interest they will have in it. My cousins kids never get to touch markers, scissors, and glue and when they come over here they have a blast. Happy scrapping and thanks for the response.
