Cherry Cheese Cake Pie made wrong

Do you like Cherry Cheese Cake pie? Every one in my family likes it, I made two for Christmas and they didn't last long. My daughter in law called the other day asking for the recipe because she wanted to make some more. I gave the recipe over the phone and told her that I made two pies out of these instead of just one like the recipe says. Everyone said that hers was not as good as the ones I had made so I ask her what she had done. Well what happened was she misunderstood what I said and tried to cut the ingredients in half.
Has anything like this ever happened to you?

I have messed up on quite a few dessert recipes. So I usually let someone else make the dessert. lol. There are things I have my hubby make because they turn out better than when I make them.

I have messed up on a recipe that was given to me before I am sure. I have messed up on a recipe out of a book that I had sitting in front of me as well. These things happen. I know there are things my sister requests that I make for her because she says they taste better when I make them even though we use the same recipe.
