did your place of work have a 'Secret Santa' this Christmas? If so, did you take part and what gift did you receive?
Only 8 of us joined in (out of 30+) this year. I received a lavender gift set (toiletries). I would like to have gone for something more original on the gift I gave but I didnt think the person whose name I pulled from the hat would appreciate my idea of a novelty gift so I went for a Victorian photo album as she is a proud grandparent.

I think your gift idea was very nice and thoughtful. I participated in the secret santa thing at work, and gave the person I picked (a man) a $25 movie pass since he likes movies. We also had to give small gifts twice before the big present, and I gave him some Red Sox pens, a small leatherbound notebook, gum, and some hot chocolate. He said he really liked everything, so I'm glad. I felt completely jipped though... my secet santa scattered candy canes on my desk and gave me an embarrassingly large Santa statue:) . The thought was there I guess... but I felt jipped.

I haven't participated in a Secret Santa event for ages! It used to be a lot of fun though. It's just not something that seems to be done in the places I've been living the last few Christmases. I am trying to remember all that way back, but my memories a bit hazy! I think the last Secret Santa gift I received was a bottle of bourbon! thumbup It's a shame that only 8 out of 30 joined in at your work.
