We have digital cable through Cox Communications. We got a good 3 in one package (cable, internet and phone) when we first signed up two years ago and have added and deleted services along the way. They offer a lot of different channels like sports, movies and childrens programs and many more. You can even pick and choose which packages to add on for a small fee. They are prompt when it comes to fixing problems and we have never had an issue regarding our bills. This year we are going to cut it down as we don't watch as much tv or the channels they offer and we are going to get rid of the landline since we both have a cell phone. The landline only gets used to record messages when we are not home. I'm not sure what the costs will be when we make the changes though as we will be moving at the end of March.

We had that same deal with Cox when we lived in a house. But,everytime it stormed the cable would go out.The phone to was going out all the time, even when it wouldn't rain!

I personally think that cable is the better option. Satellite can go out if there is a big storm. I used to have satellite until I realized one night that it had went out three times in about an hour and a half. With cabel t.v. you don't have to have the signal hitting the satellite for it to work.

When we had cable it always went out when we had a storm, even thou the lines were under ground. Then they said that I would not get credit for the time it was off. We are staying temporarily in a hotel that has satellite and it has never gone out once. But we do not get a lot of channels here.

We just recently got DishNetwork. I do not think cable is available in our area. I think you get more from Satellite.

i'd get cable.friends of mine who have satellite/dish say it's down more than it's up.even rain can interfere with it.i think you may have to pay extra for local channels too.

well, for us here in the house, we have tv but we don;t have cable tv. Just an ordinary one where channels are limited. I think if you want to have lots of channels, you have to have a cable TV. I am not sure how much is your monthly with it but if you really want to have lots of channels? go for cable tv.

I myself prefer sattelite T.V. over cable. I think that I get more channels to watch. But it all depends on your preferences. It also depends on how much you watch T.V. I watch alot of movies and so sattelite gives me that opportunity.
