It's 2.42 am here, and yes, I am up. What is all the fuzz about? Well let me tell you . As my mylot friends will know I am into collecting vintage my little ponies and I am also into making my own clothing and dowing crafts. When I was browsing through eBay I found this adorable sewing pattern from 1985 (I wasn't even born yet then!), featuring 10 different patterns of my little pony ornaments and it was in a wonderfull condition aswell. I have seen a wide range of different my little pony products, but I have never seen this one before. And because it's a pattern (and an old one) the odds are slim to find it in such a great condition again. And so I have set my alarm clock because I didn't want to be outbid in the last minute by someone sniping the auction. I didn't have to bid again, but it feels good to have taken precautions. I don't allways do this, but with this specific item which I think is pretty hard to find, I have no trouble with it. Especially because tomorrow is a sunday so sleeping in is not a problem. Have you ever set your alarm for an online event, such as an auction, and woke in the middle of the night for it? If so, for what was it?

Hmm, an interesting reason to set your alarm for so late in night. No, I have never done it yet in my life. I have set my alarm when I need to catch my train in early mornings. Also, When I used to work in a call center then I needed to wake up at 2.30AM to get ready for the office.

True, it was the only way I could improve my chances of winning this auction; as the person selling is in another time zone and I guess the auction ended at a perfectly normal time in that country. Getting up at 2.30 AM is really, really early! I'm not sure I would be able to do that. My boyfriend has an interview for a flower auctioning company soon and he will have to get up around 4.15AM and I thought that was possibly one of the most early times to wake up for work. You proved me wrong! Thanks for adding to the discussion!

Yea, I had to wake up 2.30AM. Some of my friends were doing night shifts and they used to sleep in the daytime Anyways, what is the purpose of bidding at the last moment?

Hi Cyberfluf, I am really pleased to hear that you won this item. I do know how much you adore your My Little Ponies. I have never personally set an alarm to wake to grab something in an auction like this but I have sat in the last minute so I have not been out bid but at a more normal time of day LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D

Thank you, Ellie. I am very pleased about it aswell and luckily I fell right asleep after the auction so it didn't mess up my good night sleep too much. Unfortunatly this was an overseas auction which explaines the time difference. I am pretty sure it was a normal, local time over there when it ended, lol .

I have never stayed up late or set an alarm to make sure I have won something on eBay. I have never bid on anything that was rare or hard to find before though. Glad you won it!

thank you, Lilybug. I am very much excited about receiving this item. Usually I don't get up in the night for an auction, but since this item is hard to find I wanted to make sure I put in every possible effort to get it for my personal collection . Have a great day!
