I started off with two mini Dachshunds, then the breeder that gave me Monica and Little Bit called and asked me if I would be interested in a third...so last July I acquired Katie. Katie is still awfully shy and is super hard to get into the house after she goes out to the bathroom. Then, suddenly I ended up with a boarder!!! My best friend called me and asked if I could keep her Pitt/Lab mix while she and her husband are splitting up. Yikes, four dogs!!! It is amazing though because the Pitt mix is sooo careful and sweet with the little guys. Except once in awhile she does accidentally steps on one of the little guys feet. When I let them out to potty, it is so funny to see a 80 pound dog in the lead with all these mini's in hot pursuit! It's kind of like little ants chasing her. What fascinates me is that Monica (one of the first two) has appointed herself my keeper and protector. If I leave her sight for too long she hunts me down. If I'm outside she will bark until I come back in and when I sit down she checks me head to foot to make sure that I am okay. Katie and Little Bit have a thing for pulling the hair out of the cats. I can't figure that one out! As my BF says, they prefer "dark meat", meaning that they like pulling the hair out of my Maine Koon cat more than they pull it out of the Siamese. The neighbors have a long hair creamy orange cat, and if Katie or Little Bit can pull his hair they are in heaven! I haven't owned dogs like Mini Dachshunds, and I am totally hooked on the breed. My previous dogs were Rottweilers, so it is a major change to go from huge dogs weighing over 100 pounds to tiny guys that tip the scales at 9.5 pounds! I don't ever want to be without one of these wonderful clowns! They are so funny and so much fun to have.

It would be so great if you were able to manage and get a photo of that Pitt/Lab being followed by your little "babies" It sounds for the most part all those furbabies get along with one another which I think is great. It also sounds like Monica is your "velcro" doggie..meaning she doesn't want you out of her sight for too long..LOL. My Pyewacket tends to be like that..and he definitely loves the attention I give him
