the vikings were a warrior race as we all know, and even in death they dreamed of battle,
Do you love viking mythology as I do?
Do you know about Valhalla the hall of the slain and its importance in norse mythology?
What else about vikings intrigue you?

I like reading about it in books that I am reading. Mostly romance books which is probably nothing like the real thing at all and it was romanticized to make it different then it really was but that is as close as I got to the vikings besides what I seen on television and then again there we don't know if they hollywooded it up to make it seem more then it was. I will check the link out. I will probably no longer have Internet by Friday.SO gotta check it soon.

I will try because I think I would go nuts without it..lol I will probably end up selling some stuff. My problem is even if I sell it on eBay I have no way to get it weighed and posted if I did and the post office is way to far to walk. 10 miles is the one I use. But God will hopefully provide and maybe my husband can talk to his boss and get an advance I am hoping anyhow but still I will lose Internet for about 2 weeks even if it can get paid.

no the vikings were not anglo saxons,
anglo saxons refer to the races of the anglos and the saxons (germanic tribes)anglo saxon is where english people descend from when you trace their roots back to england. The vikings were closer to saxons but still northern scandnavian

Call me weird, but the first time I heard of Vahalla was on a tv show called Charmed. In the show, women type warriors would come to men that have fallen in battle and take them to Vahalla so they could compete against each other. It's interesting to know that the show used a bit of mythology in their story line.

yes..honestly I like war epic movie, literature and mythology. I remember one titled PATHFINDER a nice film. Viking, Norsemen, a kind of somewhat giant people. I don't know why I like those kind of movies and stories. I maybe forgot some of those but if you enumerate those I think I can recall..but never mind. I will be the one to recall it...I really like those kind of people being a warrior of medieval times.

I've always been interested in Viking mythology, winterose, along with mythologies of other cultures. I remember back during the '80s when PBS aired The Ring by Wagner, I recorded the entire thing! Sadly, it got recorded over since then, but I was very much entertained by it. Also, I was somewhat surprised when I was studying the history of the Irish that the Vikings played a huge part in their history.

yes the vikings invaded the uk,
and so there is much history and folklore there, it is also believed that the landed in newfoundland here in canada, and we know that eric the red, went up as far as the bering strait.
