Jill Biden, the vice-president elect's wife, sai her husband was given the choice of being either the vice president or the secretary of state. She said he chose to become the vice president because he'd have to travel too much as secretary of state. What do you think? I think he'd be great at either job, but I'm glad he chose to be the vice president.

I'll give a similar response to the one I gave in the same discussion above. I wonder if Hillary was aware of this or if she was goiven choices of sorts as well. And secretary of state is a position that should be filled by an articulate and well spoken person. I like Biden, don't agrea with his ideology but he's aon ok guy. It's just that, well.....how to say this nicely?.......Well, someone this prone to gaffes, is better left out of the state department.

I saw your response on the other post and I have to say that I fully agree with you. Biden sticks his foot in his mouth too many times and is best left on the back burner.

I assume all the people in this situation knew about it so why is it such a big deal that Jill Biden said it. I mean really...what damage has she done? None.

What is it they say about "great minds" and the "same channels"...lol! We started a discussion on this topic within two seconds of each other.
I'd heard this rumor before from reporters. I'm also glad he chose to be Vice President although I also agree he'd have been great at either.
