What is the best new small thing you have bought recently?
I'm not asking about expensive things like a new car. I want to hear about small things like a steering wheel cover with a cool design.
I don't want to know about a new set of expensive china, but a really cool mixing spoon.
I recently found a zip on toilet seat cover at the dollar store. It's great for the winter. It keeps my backside warm when sitting on the cold seat. It has a dog bone design on it and the underside is plastic so the men wont get it stinky when they miss.
How about you? What is your cool find?

Extension cords can be so expensive in a regular store.

I would love a new blender, but a good one is too expensive for me right now. I hate being poor.

i like dollar stores for scrapbooking supplies, for some types of candy, for little gifts for my kids for easter, that sort of thing. i guess the last thing that i got a good deal on at the dollar store was some scrapbooking supplies that were 2 for a dollar.

The dollar stores are great for little gifts and prizes. I bought some pastel crayons there once. It was a cool prize.

How about 100g dark chocolate (70% cocoa) for $1... Baron Excellent brand, from Poland, available at Dollarama. They also have the same size milk chocolate bars, 2/$1.

Yummy chocolate for a dollar. I've never had Polish chocolate, but with 70% cocoa it must be good stuff.

Yes, it is, and not too sweet, either. A little goes a long way to satisfy, plus we now know that chocolate is good for us.

Hi catlady, I know what you are getting at. It can be just a small thing that can give us great pleasure. My most recent thing was finding a hard cover lipstick case that has a small mirror on the inside. Living in a hot country, I have had so many lipsticks melt in the heat and have to throw them away. This hard cover case seems to insulate the lipstick from the heat aswell as making it easy for me to quickly apply when I am at work. I am so happy with it. Blessings

It's hot here in the spring summer and fall. We only have 2-3 horrid cold months. I use a liquid 12 hour lipstick. Thankfully it won't melt in the summer.
Te small things make life so great. Today I found a small disposable square pan for 30 cents each. Covers were 5 cents. Perfect because I needed to make a lasagna for a election night dinner party. The disposable pans are usually either to big or too expensive. I don't want to spend a whole dollar on a piece of tinfoil pan that I'm going to use once and toss. What a waste of money. Also didn't want a big one that I'd have to bring 3x of the food I needed and leave it there. Again it's more money that I don't want to spend.
Today was a good day.

My best find would be a set of two small tennis balls for my dog...he loves them and has the out side layer toren off in just a few days...so I buy about 3 of them a week which will cost me about 3.00 dollars and that is for 6 balls and a week of fun for him. I save about 5 dollars getting them at a dollar store.

Best dollar store thing I pick up recently was this color boost conditioner from sunsilk. It was at the dollar store for a dollar where it was selling at Walmart for 8 dollars. I picked up all six that were left on the shelf. My sister who lives 2000 kms away said that she found this stuff at the dollar store and then I jumped in and said it and she also picked up every one left in the store which was 8. we thought it was funny we both did the exact same thing with out knowing the other did it too.
