What is the best Dollar Store type thing you have bought recently?  

i like dollar stores for scrapbooking supplies, for some types of candy, for little gifts for my kids for easter, that sort of thing. i guess the last thing that i got a good deal on at the dollar store was some scrapbooking supplies that were 2 for a dollar.

Hi, I think my favorite best buys at the dollar stores recently are these two little super soft blankies. One for me & one for my pup. They are small but, oh so warm and fuzzy. Such pretty colors. The dog went nuts when I bought the first one, so I had to go back and buy my own because he stole the first one.

I got some new knee highs and thigh highs.. both packs were fairly cheap too. Two pair of thigh highs for a little over $4.. and 5 pair of knee highs for $5. They are really great.

Wow, this is a great question. I don't remember the last time I really enjoyed something I bought there. I do like to go to the 99 cent store (California chain store) and buy stuff like napkins or paper towels because it's the same stuff you get at the drug or grocery store.

Oh, wait I seem to be remembering the last thing I bought was an ornament that was really pretty. I bought 3 of the same one. One for my supervisor, one for a co-worker and the third one for myself.

I think dollar stores are a great place for little gifts.

How about 100g dark chocolate (70% cocoa) for $1... Baron Excellent brand, from Poland, available at Dollarama. They also have the same size milk chocolate bars, 2/$1.

Well, I went to the dollar store to get at least 2 new plastic bowls to feed Taj, Pong and Solo their wet food. We found 3 bowls for a dollar. We also found a 5X tee shirt for $6! I was happy, a 5X shirt is good for sleeping!

Last thing we bought was extention cords an night lights!

I have not been to the Dollar Store lately. The last thing that I bought, that was very nice, was a new blender.

Hi catlady, I know what you are getting at. It can be just a small thing that can give us great pleasure. My most recent thing was finding a hard cover lipstick case that has a small mirror on the inside. Living in a hot country, I have had so many lipsticks melt in the heat and have to throw them away. This hard cover case seems to insulate the lipstick from the heat aswell as making it easy for me to quickly apply when I am at work. I am so happy with it. Blessings

Best dollar store thing I pick up recently was this color boost conditioner from sunsilk. It was at the dollar store for a dollar where it was selling at Walmart for 8 dollars. I picked up all six that were left on the shelf. My sister who lives 2000 kms away said that she found this stuff at the dollar store and then I jumped in and said it and she also picked up every one left in the store which was 8. we thought it was funny we both did the exact same thing with out knowing the other did it too.
